National Adventure Education Conference 2012  

Finland's 6th annual national conference of adventure education will bring together over 100 adventure educators at Metsäkartano Youth Centre in Rautavaara in the middle of Finnish wilderness, in January 18th-20th 2012!

The Keynote speaker is PhD Johan Hovelynck, who currently works at the Organizational Psychology Department of the University of Leuven in Belgium.  He teaches Group Dynamics, and his research focuses on the action-principles underlying the facilitation of experiential learning in outdoor training and education. On Thursday there will be workshops focusing on as well practical as theoretical aspects of adventure education. The main language of the conference is Finnish but the Keynote speech will be held in English. It is also possible for English speakers to take part in some of the workshops. Translation will be provided when possible.

During the conference there will be also a national researcher meeting taking place.

The conference is organized in cooperation with the National Adventure Education Network.
