Training opportunities
Study programmes focusing on Adventure Education are offered in Finland at several educational institutions. Adventure and experiential pedagogy is also offered to some extent as intermediary studies supporting other major fields of study. The training selection is supplemented by various short-term courses and training seminars. Upcoming training events in English can be found on the website "News" page, and training in Finnish can be found on the "Tapahtumakalenteri" page of the Finnish website pages. Training opportunities are posted on the website as soon as they are announced to us by the parties that are arranging them. The Adventure Education Network actively works to improve and develop Adventure Education training in Finland, in addition to informing about the current training opportunities.
In 2010 the Network's Working Group for Training submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Education requesting implementation of training towards a Specialised Qualification in Adventure and Experiential Education, along with a proposal for potential study content.
